By accessing and using KeyRand (keyrand.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

KeyRand provides free, client-side tools for generating passwords, UUIDs, cryptographic hashes, and encoding/decoding text. All operations are performed locally in your web browser.

2. No Warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

3. Use at Your Own Risk

While we use the Web Crypto API for cryptographically secure random number generation, you are solely responsible for how you use the generated passwords and data. We recommend:

• Using a password manager to store generated passwords
• Not relying on MD5 or SHA-1 for security-critical applications
• Verifying generated UUIDs meet your specific requirements
• Testing any encoded/decoded output before use in production systems

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall KeyRand, its operators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, including but not limited to damages for loss of data, unauthorized access to accounts, or security breaches resulting from password choices.

5. Intellectual Property

The KeyRand name, logo, and website design are the property of their respective owners. The generated output (passwords, UUIDs, hashes) belongs to you — we claim no ownership over any data generated through our tools.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools to excessively scrape or burden the service
• Misrepresent your affiliation with KeyRand

7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
